1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Data Elicit Solutions (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the AWS S3–SQS Log Connector for Jira. The App integrates Amazon Web Services (AWS) logs with Atlassian Jira to automatically create Jira issues based on configured log severity levels.
By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Access
The App may access or process the following information solely for the purpose of providing its functionality.
Jira Data
- Jira project identifiers
- Issue types
- Issue priorities
- Jira issue creation APIs
This information is used only to create Jira issues based on incoming log events.
AWS Configuration Data
- AWS Access Key
- AWS Secret Key
- AWS Region
- AWS SQS Queue URL
- Jira Project Key
- Issue Type configuration
- Severity filters
AWS credentials are stored securely using encrypted storage provided by the Atlassian Forge platform.
Log Data from AWS
The App processes log events retrieved from:
- Amazon S3
- Notifications delivered via Amazon SQS
3. How We Use Information
- Retrieve log event notifications from AWS SQS
- Access log files stored in Amazon S3
- Filter logs based on configured severity levels
- Create Jira issues based on relevant log events
- Map severity levels to Jira priorities
The App does not use this data for marketing, advertising, or profiling purposes.
4. Data Storage
- Configuration data is stored using Atlassian Forge Storage.
- Sensitive information such as AWS credentials is stored using Forge encrypted secret storage.
- Log data retrieved from AWS is processed temporarily in memory and is not persistently stored by the App.
6. Data Security
- Encrypted secret storage for sensitive credentials
- Secure communication using HTTPS
- Restricted API access through Atlassian Forge permissions
However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
The App does not store log data permanently. Configuration data remains stored in Atlassian Forge Storage until the administrator deletes it or the App is uninstalled.
8. User Control
Administrators control the configuration of the App including AWS credentials, SQS queue settings, severity filters, and Jira project settings. Configuration can be updated or removed at any time.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published on our website and will indicate the revised effective date.
