AWS S3–SQS Log Connector Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the AWS S3–SQS Log Connector for Jira (the “App”) provided by Data Elicit Solutions (“we”, “our”, or “us”). The App integrates Amazon Web Services (AWS) log events with Atlassian Jira to automatically create Jira issues based on configured log severity levels.

By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Use of the App

The App allows administrators to configure AWS S3 and SQS integrations in order to process log events and automatically create Jira issues based on configured severity levels.

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party service agreements, including the terms of Atlassian and Amazon Web Services.

You are responsible for ensuring that any configuration provided to the App, including AWS credentials and queue settings, is accurate and authorized.

3. Account and Configuration Responsibility

Administrators are responsible for maintaining the security of their Jira environment and AWS credentials used with the App.

You agree that:

  • AWS credentials provided to the App are authorized for use
  • Access permissions are properly configured
  • The App is installed and managed by authorized administrators

We are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from improper credential management or configuration.

4. Data Processing

The App processes log data retrieved from Amazon S3 via Amazon SQS and creates Jira issues based on configured severity filters.

The App does not permanently store log data. Configuration data may be stored using Atlassian Forge storage services in order to operate the App.

Use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Services

The App interacts with third-party services including:

  • Atlassian Jira Cloud
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS), including S3 and SQS

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, reliability, or behavior of third-party services.

6. Availability and Service Changes

We strive to maintain reliable operation of the App; however, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the App at any time to improve functionality, address security concerns, or comply with platform requirements.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Data Elicit Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the App.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Loss of data
  • Service interruptions
  • Configuration errors
  • Failures caused by third-party services

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights related to the App, including its design, code, and functionality, remain the property of Data Elicit Solutions. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App within your Jira environment in accordance with these Terms.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated or if continued use poses security or operational risks.

Upon uninstallation of the App, stored configuration data may be removed in accordance with Atlassian Forge platform policies.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on our website and will include the updated effective date.

Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
