Installation and configuration guide for the CoreSync default connector.

Installation

Note

CoreSync is a default connector that comes pre-configured with LogConnector. However, you can also download and install it manually if it was removed earlier. Follow the configuration steps and refer to connector.conf.ini if you want to modify the connector to match your organization’s requirements and LogScale environment.

Installation

Install the LogScale package into your Falcon LogScale repository.

Download coresync.tgz from the Connectors tab and extract it into:

tar -xzf coresync.tgz

coresync connector directory:

/opt/LogConnector/connectors/coresync$ ls
bin     default     README.md

Configuration

In the default directory, configure connector.conf as per your requirements:

/opt/LogConnector/connectors/coresync$ cd default
/opt/LogConnector/connectors/coresync/local$ nano connector.conf
/opt/LogConnector/connectors/coresync/local$ ls
connector.conf    connector.conf.ini

Note

Check the connector.conf.ini file in the default/ directory for detailed instructions on how to configure the conf file.
